Infolinks is a very popular In-Text advertising network. It was started in 2007 with a goal to overcome the conventional banner advertising with their innovative intelligent platform that analyzes content in real time and avoids the banner blindness by displaying ads in non-traditional but in an effective way.
Infolinks provides some non-conventional ad formats that don’t occupy any space on your website, which means if you want to show some banner ads on your website then you can show them along with Infolinks ads.
Infolinks doesn’t have any issues with any other ad network, so, you can use it with other ad networks as a complimentary unit including Google Adsense. Before going aany further, let me clear a misconception about Infolinks, some people think that Infolinks script slows down websites, which is not true.
Infolinks script loads after your website loads completely, so, there is no way that it can slow your website. The other thing is, their script is very fast loading which loads in milliseconds, so, i think there is no question about its fastness. I have personally used this network on one of my site for few months and quiet easily reached the minimum payout because of the high CPM rates that Infolinks offers.
One more thing that i want to clear is that my website on which i am using it currently is not a high traffic website and also, i have not received my payment yet as they have “within 45 days” payment terms. So, as soon as i will receive my payments the soon i will post it here.

Sign Up And Approval:
Sign Up is very easy, the all you need is a website and a valid email address to register on it. Since Infolinks doesn’t have very hard and fast rules, so, it accepts most of the websites including low traffic and sub-domain sites. But to get approved on Infolinks your site must have some good content and it would be great if your site is in English.
Usually Infolinks approves any website in 1-2 days.
Ad Formats:
Infolinks offers four different ad formats, which are In-Text ads, In-Tag ads, In-Fold ads and In-Frame ads.
In-Text Ads: In-text ads are the ads which are shown within your content. Basically Infolinks script selects some keywords from your content and mark it with a dotted or double line, so, whenever a visitor hovers his/her mouse over the marked keyword then he/she will be shown an ad, which is basically a small box that loads very fast.
These ads are non annoying and doesn’t take any space of your website.
In-Tag Ads: In-Tag ads are basically a tag cloud of keywords which are relevant to your website’s content. These tags are displayed as a single line or double line. The location of these ads depends on you which means you can show these ads anywhere on your website.
In-Fold Ads: In-Fold ads are basically ad units which scrolls up from the bottom of the page. This ad format also doesn’t occupy any space and also, your visitors can close it anytime.
In-Frame Ads: In-Frame ads are display ads which scrolls from both sides of your browser. These ads are like sky scrapper type ads but they do not occupy any space on your website and like in-fold ads your visitors can off them anytime.
Update:
In-Screen Ads: Besides all these 4 ad formats, now Infolinks has introduced a new ad format called In-Screen Ads. In-Screen Ads are basically interstitial ads which appear in between your website pages when activated by one of the three triggers.
- When a user enters your site.
- When a user switches from one page to another page of your site.
- When a user leaves your site via an external link or by clicking the back button.
This ad format is currently running in beta phase and showing great results.
This ad format has successfully introduced to Infolinks as a publishers solution.
Stats Reporting System:
Infolinks offers a good reporting system to its users which shows detailed stats of your ads performance. It also offers some filters that you can use to breakdown your report by date, time etc. The only con in their reporting system is, it doesn’t show real time stats.
Infolinks stats updates on daily basis, so, you have to wait for a day to see your stats changing.
Minimum Payout:
The minimum amount require to cash-out your earnings on Infolinks is 50$, which is little high but since Infolinks offers high eCPM rates, so, you can easily earn that total even if you are a small publisher.
Payment Frequency:
Infolinks pays its publishers “within 45 days” of request. Typically all payment request are made automatically on 1st of every month, so, if a publisher has reached his/her minimum payout in this month then his/her payment request will be automatically made on the 1st of next month and he/she will be paid within next 45 days.
Payment Options:
Infolinks offers various payment options to its publishers, which are – PayPal, Payoneer Prepaid Debit Card, Wire Transfer and eCheck/Local Bank Transfer.
Referral Program:
Infolinks doesn’t directly offer a referral program but if you mail them regarding referral program then they will give you your referral link and also, provide you the details about their referral program. I contacted them to get my referral link and they provided it to me with the following details about their referral program.
For each publisher who joins the Infolinks network by clicking your personal referral link, you will be entitled to a one-time referral fee of up to $1,000 per new publisher, as follows*:
• Small Publisher – $25 (up to 10,000 average net Infolinks page impressions per day)
• Medium Publisher – $100 (up to 100,000 average net Infolinks page impressions per day)
• Large Publisher – $1,000 (over 100,000 average net Infolinks page impressions per day)
* Publisher’s traffic must have at least 30% of traffic from the US. If less than 30% of the publisher’s traffic comes from the US then the referral fee will be 30% of the fees listed above.

Great Review of Infolinks, but I have some question sin my mind regarding Infolinks.
As I am looking for a secondary way to monetize my website, Does Infolinks do well with Adsense? And also, my majority traffic is Indian, will Infolinks pay good for Indian traffic?
Urgently want 2nd monetizing method as Adsense is not doing good with Indian traffic, also the CTR is low.

Infolinks works good with Adsense for some whereas some complain that it reduces your Adsense CTR. For me, i didn’t notice much effect on my Adsense earnings. Infolinks pays decent rates for Indian traffic but don’t compare it with Adsense.
For me the rate was around 0.60$-1$ per 1000 views and 90% of my traffic was from India. But these stats are one and a half year old, can’t say much about it now but overall Infolinks is a good network on which you can trust.

But according to me, none of the adsense alternative can give the revenue as much as Adsense can give. I tried infolinks and I had worst experience with it. After having huge amount of traffic, I was able to make only 100-200$.
Because my blog was banned by Adsense. If this wasn’t happened then that traffic can surely make around $2k+.
That’s why infolinks is far away from Adsense in terms of generating revenue.

For me the Infolinks earnings were around 1/4th of Adsense, this was around one and half year back when i use it and that was also the time when Infolinks was on its peak.
As far as Adsense is concerned, it needs too much care like babies, you need to check your daily earnings, you need to monitor clicks. People click on your ads just to ban your Adsense, some use bot attacks too. My Adsense also got banned and i am happy that it got banned because i am a lazy person and Adsense was not my primary source of earning. I like affiliate marketing as it gives better income without any headache.
